Go Green! SB Green Tea Frappucino

Needless to say, this one is my favorite! I love Starbucks' Green Tea Frappe with hazelnut syrup, extra jelly, java chip, whip, the works... this lovable drink is genius!!! I know, the flavors completely contradict each other, but what the heck! I LOVE IT! Yum! It's more like drinking icy sweet tea with an OOMPH!

I green tea and it is known to boost metabolism and act as a natural energy booster, but green tea being a frappe with the right amount of milk and cream in this drink will automatically kick in your serotonin neurotransmitters and bring you to a slightly drowsy but happy state and put your brain into a pleasant state of mind.. ( now that is sooo physio.. haha) =D

It tastes nothing like actual green tea... not bitter at all.. Though Starbucks uses some variety of green tea powder to add flavor, undoubtedly, there is also an immeasurable amount of sugar added to sweeten the taste. The milk and (optional) whipped cream add to the sweetness. In some ways, it tastes like the melted combination of green tea ice cream and vanilla ice cream.. very sweet, but relaxing as well, with the milk content(you can always ask for nonfat. According to the ingredients listing, there is also melon syrup added which adds a wee bit of sweetness. The only other downside is that, after you reach the bottom of the drink where the crushed ice is disintegrating, it begins to taste a little bland, like water. But by that point, you will probably be so full and sleepy that you won’t want to drink anymore anyway. LOL

Calories: 370 calories plus all the extra... eek!

green tea ♥ definitely!
