Needless to say, this one is my favorite! I love Starbucks' Green Tea Frappe with hazelnut syrup, extra jelly, java chip, whip, the works... this lovable drink is genius!!! I know, the flavors completely contradict each other, but what the heck! I LOVE IT! Yum! It's more like drinking icy sweet tea with an OOMPH!
I ♥ green tea and it is known to boost metabolism and act as a natural energy booster, but green tea being a frappe with the right amount of milk and cream in this drink will automatically kick in your serotonin neurotransmitters and bring you to a slightly drowsy but happy state and put your brain into a pleasant state of mind.. ( now that is sooo physio.. haha) =D
It tastes nothing like actual green tea... not bitter at all.. Though Starbucks uses some variety of green tea powder to add flavor, undoubtedly, there is also an immeasurable amount of sugar added to sweeten the taste. The milk and (optional) whipped cream add to the sweetness. In some ways, it tastes like the melted combination of green tea ice cream and vanilla ice cream.. very sweet, but relaxing as well, with the milk content(you can always ask for nonfat. According to the ingredients listing, there is also melon syrup added which adds a wee bit of sweetness. The only other downside is that, after you reach the bottom of the drink where the crushed ice is disintegrating, it begins to taste a little bland, like water. But by that point, you will probably be so full and sleepy that you won’t want to drink anymore anyway. LOL

green tea ♥ definitely!
I am Chelle and I'm a frappaholic.
I'm not a coffee junkie but I like taking coffee breaks.
I'm not a coffee expert, I just happened to love drinking all things hot and cold.
I'm not a coffee master or barista, but I've always been interested in the rise of Starbucks.
I don't drink instant coffee but I drink espresso (a low caffeine drink) made from naturally low caffeine.
I used to hate coffee but I actually drink coffee a good percentage of the time now. I like to blog about combining the two of the biggest things in my life (gluten-free pastries and coffee) makes me beyond happy! Though I'm still on a never-ending search to find a way to receive my coffee intravenously, I know this addiction can save me from boredom and sadness. LOL Other than entering therapy, I'm not sure if there is an easy way to give up this kind of addiction.
In between loads of writing stint, babysitting and running after my lil brat Maia, I blog, write essays and is currently finishing my cup of caramel macchiato. This blog is made possible by my dearest brother Clint who gives us our daily dose of frappucino.. and then tasting it all one cup at a time. Makes me proud to have a brother who is so loving, thoughtful and one helluva coffee master. He is very supportive with my Starbucks addiction. Thanks CLINT!
So this blog is for all the Starbucks addict, ex-Starbucks addicts and recovering SB addicts. Here's all things coffee for people who are all things coffee.

SB DOTD:
Starbucks Drink of the Day
Caramel Frappuccino Blended Coffee
A decadent treat of buttery caramel combined with Starbucks coffees and milk, blended with ice, topped with whipped cream and a swirl of caramel sauce. It's a cream-based frappe that is blended and cooled to creamy, sweet perfection. the Caramel might have just been a little too sweet for me... However, maia loves it and I’d have no hesitations about drinking it again.. LOL
Coffee Calories: 380
Mmmm... perfect with grilled ham and three cheese on Italian bread.. now that is love.. ;p

A morning coffee is a regular lifestyle choice for millions of people, but the wrong choice of coffee can easily sabotage your weight loss plans. Whether you're counting calories, watching your fat and sugar intake or looking for something with more fiber and whole grains, you should always check the calories HERE..
Coffee and Calories
A cup of black coffee is nearly calorie-free, but how many of us stick to black coffee? Once you start adding cream and sugar, the calories go up. In fact, the drinks the barista mixes for you can pack a whole meal's worth of calories and fat.
The company's web site offers plenty of Starbucks nutrition facts, including:
* Tall cappuccino with whole milk: 120 calories. Go for skim to get it down to 80 calories and zero fat.
* Tall café latte with whole milk: 200 calories, with 100 from fat. With skim, it's only 120 calories and fat-free.
* Tall caramel macchiato, whole milk: 240 calories. Keep the caramel topping but switch to nonfat milk and it's 170 calories, with only 5 from fat.
If you're watching your calories, you may not have to cut out these treats entirely. Coffee drinks made with a generous amount of milk can have 30 percent or more of your daily requirement of calcium. You'll also get some of the Vitamin A you need.
Tempting Tea
If you choose Starbucks' Tazo teas, you can enjoy a warm, comforting drink without any calories at all. Once again, as soon as you start mixing it the way you like it, you'll need to keep an eye on the milk, sugar, and other additions.
Here are some details on Starbucks tea drinks:
* Tall Tazo tea with lemonade: 90 calories.
* Tall Tazo chai tea latte with whole milk: 210 calories, 45 from fat.
* Tall Tazo red tea latte, whole milk: 170 calories, 45 from fat.
The Frappuccino Trap
A Frappuccino is a delightful treat on a hot day. It's just coffee, right? It's not like having an ice cream cone. Except… it sort of is. A tall coffee Frappuccino is probably the best choice for dieters who crave a creamy, icy treat, with 190 calories and only 15 percent of your recommended daily calcium. Go for a mocha Frappuccino with that yummy whipped cream and you're looking at 310 calories, more than a third of them from fat. What if you're really thirsty? Try a grande Caramel Frappuccino and you may as well skip dinner: it's 530 calories.
Luckily, Starbucks has an option for people who are watching their waistlines: Frappuccino Light. The Light version of that fabulous grande Caramel Frappuccino is 380 calories, with 130 from fat and still 15 percent of your daily calcium. Skip the whipped cream and get the fat calories down to 20, with 250 calories for the whole yummy treat.
